the people welcome you to the small, but interesting town of keokuk, iowa. with just over eleven thousand citizens here, you tend to see the same people a lot; even if you have no idea who they are. it borders along the largest river on earth. the mississippi. and it was founded by an indian chief that went by the name of, you guessed it: chief keokuk. but don't let that get to you, the people here are very friendly just so long as you stay on their good side. and if you want to start trouble, that's okay too, you'll just have to deal with the consequences. winters can be so tough that even the mississippi river freezes solid and many snow storms pass through, but summers are very warm and relaxing. and if that weren't enough, finding the love of your life here in keokuk is very rewarding. so what are you waiting for? come by and visit us; you won't regret it.
